As a student, it’s easy to get caught up in your own life, between English studies, a social life, extracurricular activities or work. However, sometimes it is good to step out of your comfort zone. What better way to do that, than to do it with your classmates?
This past weekend American Experience students stopped by the Capital Area Food Bank, ready to work. The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization in the Washington metro area working to solve hunger and its companion problems. Students dedicated their time to help the organization and community and processed 16,300 lbs of food and separated 300 boxes of food! Wow! Of course, it takes time, patience, and hard work, but they mostly all reported it to be a fulfilling experience.
